Good morning. How have you been doing?
Today, I'd like to talk about this.
The leader ship
I belong to the "movie club"(映研）. Recently, our captain said to me, "We have to make sign for college festival, so could you please work together to do that? " And I said "Yes", without thinking much about it though I was a little bit worried. But it turned out that even this small working together is difficult. Whenever I send a mailing list, I have to think it over a long time to make sure there is no mistake on it. I am such a poor leader, so I didn't understand how to work together.
And then yesterday, I was so shocked to be said by one of my friends that there is someone who says bad things about you. I was so disappointed, because first of all, I didn't know that and second, I did like her.
I cried for my terrible work. I was thinking how to be a good leader. And after talking to my friends on the phone, I reached one conclusion.
I have to do more about the work and show them my incentive, and then I can say "please do ～".
I will do my best on this !

I felt difficulties about being a leader too, when I was doing captain at cheerleading in highschool.
ReplyDeleteWhat I learned was not only importance of communications and partnerships but also how you trust your group and show them how reliable you are through your work will be the key to gather everyone up.
It may be a though time now, but I'm sure this experience will be useful in your near future and I really wish you good luck.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are going through tough times...but I think there is a reason why you were appointed as a leader. Your captain must of thought you were suitable. If not, the captain would have never asked for you to be a leader. So have more confidence and believe in yourself!

Oh dear, people problems - you can't live with them all the time (people, I mean) and you can't live without them!
ReplyDeleteDid the person say bad things about you? It is not quite clear from your blog, but I guess so. What a sting that must have caused you and no wonder you cried. However, you are handling this maturely, so the outcome will be good, I think.
